Condolences : BBC has offered the condolences of the Club to the O'Callaghan family on the sad loss of Clodagh who with her husband, Andy, played with the original players before her illness struck. Many of our players knew her personally and our Monday session has been cancelled as a mark of respect. R.I.P. Clodagh. IGM: Our Inaugural Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 2nd March at 7pm in the Bayside Community Centre. The outgoing ad-hoc committee [ Tom D, Ciarán, Agnes, charlie O'D, Eileen D, Chris G, Nigel, John O'C, Tom B ] put a lot of work since late 2019 to date and for the organisation of this meeting and were delighted with the positive response and turn out. Monday Competition: As we are halfway through the final iteration of this competition and the competition is hotting up. As the weather improves so does the playing numbers. The competition whets the appetite and adds an edge to the friendly proceedings. When the new pistes arrive we will open up a weekly Competition to all interested players. Saturday Coaching: The Saturday 'half-hour', coaching has started before the 11:00 a.m. play. If interested, please arrive ready to start before 10:30 out of courtesy to the organisers have already spent time raking and setting out the various activities. Opportunities to develop Pointing, Shooting, Driving and Lobbing Skills are provided. BBC v CPC Sunday 3rd November in Alden Park: The outstanding rematch between Cavan and Bayside took place in murky but dry weather in Alden Park yesterday. Cavan originally expected to have 18 players but their numbers fell to 13 on the day. Bayside had 27 players on our list and that dwindled also, but able replacements showed up on the day. CPC were treated to refreshments in the BCC and greeted by Eileen D, Eileen O'B, Mary G, Agnes G and Kathryn O'D from the BBC. They were able to have tea/coffee and sandwiches and use the facilities before decanting to Alden Park. Our thanks to the ladies who did the 'meet and greet'. The sandwiches were provided by Perfect Day Café courtesy of the €5 collected from each BBC player on the day. They arrived well before the scheduled time and were at Alden shortly after noon. They practiced for a half hour and then we commenced play with the BBC teams being rejigged due to the earlier start....
