Happy Christmas to All in Bayside Boules Club a Healthy and Happy 2025 Season Upcoming AGM in Bayside Community Centre on Monday 13th January 7:30 p.m. More information to follow via the group WhatsApp..........please put the date in your diary....... Monday Competition: Today, 23-12-24, was the final day of the Monday Competition.    Congratulations Larry .  Larry will receive the much sought-after trophy at the 1st event of the next season. He was in pole position before play today and cemented his dominance of this iteration.  His consistency in 'pointing' and willingness to 'shoot' accurately, when required, placed him at the top of the pile.   Michael, John and Agnes were in the chasing group.  Next time folks! BBC  v  CPC Sunday 3rd November in Alden Park: The outstanding rematch between Cavan and Bayside took place in murky but dry weather in Alden Park yesterday.  Cavan originally expected to have 18 players but their numbers fell to 13 on the day.  Bayside had 27 players on our list and that dwindled also, but able replacements showed up on the day. CPC were treated to refreshments in the BCC and greeted by Eileen D, Eileen O'B, Mary G, Agnes G and Kathryn O'D from the BBC.  They were able to have tea/coffee and sandwiches and use the facilities before decanting to Alden Park.  Our thanks to the ladies who did the 'meet and greet'.  The sandwiches were provided by Perfect Day Café courtesy of the €5 collected from each BBC player on the day.   They arrived well before the scheduled time and were at Alden shortly after noon.  They practiced for a half hour and then we commenced play with the BBC teams being rejigged due to the earlier start....

Monday Competition: What a finish to what might be the last Monday Competition for a while. The top four players Larry, Chris, Sean and Ciarán were separated by just 3 points.  Ciarán, with a Running Total of 233 just pipped Sean to win the trophy.  Congratulations Ciarán. As per Inaugural AGM we are canvassing members to check if a change of date from Monday is desirable.  From the poll results to date it seems that the Monday Competition will remain for now.  A few members are excluded by this arrangement but we may consider a separate Saturday Competition for any interested parties, going forward. Precision Shooting: Ciarán and Dirk represented BBC at the inaugural National Competition in Bushy Park.  They were generally playing at the same time so didn't get a chance to take any photos themselves.  The competition was stiff but they acquitted themselves well.  By next year, with the assistance of Tom Buckley's machine, and more practice we sh...
